Official Ampersand of VISD

We've found our 'AND'! Thank you to everyone who participated in the poll. We appreciate your input in the selection of our brand new official ampersand logo.

The logo has great value to the district and its students. It is the district’s goal to have 100% of its students each year having found their ‘And’, meaning they will leave high school prepared for a successful launch into career, military, college, and life in order to be contributing members of society.

School Matters: Social-Emotional Learning Following COVID-19

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) is a concept that has been around for nearly two decades. However, it has only become “popular” over the last few years.

Victoria ISD’s East and West high schools hosted a GenTX event on Thursday, November 18 at the Emerging Technology Center as part of Generation Texas (GenTX) Month and GenTX Week.

From all of us at VISD, we hope you have a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable Fall Break.

District campuses and offices will be closed Monday, Nov. 22 - Friday, Nov. 26. School and normal business hours will resume on Monday, Nov. 29.

Victoria ISD awarded Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to Victoria Independent School District for its annual comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year ended Aug. 31, 2020.

This is the 23rd consecutive year VISD has received this award.

Victoria ISD has begun implementing one-to-one technology within the district. Three elementary schools, Dudley, Shields and Torres, and one middle school, Patti Welder, are currently involved in one-to-one technology.
